I had less than 24 hours - just one night and one morning - in this amazing city but I found it visually thrilling. It felt hyper-urban, probably the most urban environment I've ever experienced. Hong Kong has more skyscrapers than any other city in the world and they are arrayed in rows as the city rises from the bay into the hills. My favourite part of my brief trip was taking the ferry over to Kowloon and looking back at the lights shimmering over the water.
